Meep Meep #127 – Woo! weekly update
Well, wasn’t it a wet, wet weekend? But the early arrival of Autumn didn’t dampen our spirits one little bit, with a Woo! event on each day of the week except for the unofficial day of post-Mardi Gras rest – Sunday!
We started off with some stories at Story Club: Showcase with Neil and his gang of supporters. Next, we had some tender discussions at Steakholder’s Meating Part III at Macelleria Newtown. By the time ‘hump day’ rolled around, we needed some humour and headed to the grand opening of Cheers Comedy Club.
On Thursday we commemorated, er… celebrated the launch of The Unfortunate Death of James Douglas O’Flaherty, the new book by brilliant author and Woo! Friend Miles A. Hunt. Friday found us prepping for a promising weekend by having all our curly questions answered by our resident dating doctor Russy Ross from The Social Collective.
A bus full of wine lovers headed to the Hunter Valley for a day of picking, stomping and gulping at the Stomp Wines 2017 event followed by not one, but TWO Mardi Gras parties stocked with plenty of chips, dips, whips, chains! Yowza 😀
QUOTE OF THE WEEK
When asked if the Moscato was ready:
Jo: ‘It’s wet and it’s alcoholic. It’s ready.’
